Billing Specialist

Job Definition

Reporting to Biling Manager, this position will be responsible for customer billing, cash receipts posting, AR deposits to bank, and AR Collections. Attention to detail, self-motivation and problem-solving skills are essential for success. This position is on site.

Key Responsibilities:

· Work with CS team to ensure accuracy of billing work assigned

· Ensures that all assigned billing tasks are completed each month by deadlines

· Creates invoices according to company practices

· Assists in various month/year end procedures as assigned

· Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable

· Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts

· Responsible for client follow up for outstanding receivables.

· Answers questions from customers related to invoicing and payment

· Maintains customer files & records.

· Responsible for weekly review of AR aging.

· Provides reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested

· Prepares special internal reports as required

· Report on activity to upper management as required

· Regular attendance is an essential function of this job

· Performs, as assigned, similar or related duties

Essential skills and experience:

· General accounting experience or proven experience in accounts receivable/billing

· Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines required

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent math ability

· Ability to work independently and in a fast-pace environment

· Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and co-workers

· Proficient in Microsoft 365 or related software as well as other accounting software programs
